Built on Experience, Driven by Data
Founded by former MLB Draft pick Dustin Geiger, Nuclear Baseball Training delivers instruction grounded in professional experience and enhanced by cutting-edge analytics. Dustin’s career in baseball spans over a decade, including time with the Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins organizations, as well as the Mexican Summer League and the American Association. In 2023, he served as the hitting coach for the Cleburne Railroaders, bringing his individualized coaching style to the professional level.
Drawing from this extensive experience, Dustin launched Nuclear Baseball to provide student athletes with the tools, structure, and mindset necessary to succeed on and off the field. His approach blends time-tested fundamentals with modern hitting technology and data-driven insights, resulting in customized development plans focused on mechanics, approach, and mental preparation.
The Launch of Nuclear Baseball Academy
In 2024, Dustin expanded his vision by founding Nuclear Baseball Academy. This year-round program prioritizes both player development and academic flexibility. Designed to support student athletes using virtual or homeschool education, the academy allows training during traditional school hours without sacrificing academic progress.
The NBA Knights took the field for the first time in 2025 with a roster of twelve athletes fully committed to their growth, participating in a robust 30-game high school season that was designed to challenge and elevate their game. The schedule featured a diverse lineup of opponents, including teams from UIL (University Interscholastic League), TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools), as well as other academy and homeschool programs.
This variety ensures that players are consistently exposed to high-level competition, helping them adapt to different styles of play, develop resilience, and showcase their talent in front of scouts and college coaches, serving as a platform for growth, exposure, and real-game experience against some of the best programs in the region.
A Day in the Life at Nuclear Baseball Academy
Training takes place three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each session starts with the coach’s plan of the day, followed by dynamic warmups, a structured throwing program, position-specific instruction, team defense, and hitting. Every day ends with strength and conditioning, led by Head Strength Coach Roc Galindo.
Fridays in the fall often include live at-bats, giving athletes the chance to apply mid-week adjustments in a competitive setting that builds both skill and confidence.

With elite training, academic flexibility, and a focus on total development, the academy reflects many of the same values we hold at POLARIS.
